[Migration Version] Please pay attention to this version, as it will affect your business!

Dear LightCDN Users,

Today marks the day when the migration version we previously notified will be launched. We will once again emphasize the necessity of migrating versions in this notification.

Update schedule:
2025.02.10 14:00 - 17:00(UTC+8)
During this period, you cannot log in to both the old and new client platforms. Please note that this will not affect your CDN acceleration service.

Necessity of Migrating to the New Client Platform

LightCDN was originally designed as a lightweight platform that enables users to quickly get started with CDN services. Simplicity does not equate to being rudimentary—we highly value our customers’ essential needs and have worked hard to address them.LightCDN is about to embrace change.
In the version going live on 2025.02.10 (UTC+8), we will introduce WebSocket support and increased request concurrency limits. Looking ahead, our functional roadmap includes enhancements such as tiered caching, CC protection, WebP compression, and page optimization to boost acceleration performance, among others. Additionally, auxiliary features such as network environment diagnostics and custom pages will be added. We invite you to look forward to the upcoming changes and appreciate your understanding of the necessity of this migration.

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

Migration Contents:
1. Your currently running services.
2. Your remaining balance. (The balance will be calculated up to the end of the migration period, at which point the old platform will gradually suspend resources and cease billing.)
How to migrate users for monthly plans:
Please contact us (support@lightcdn.com) after completing the migration. We will reopen the monthly plan for you.
Migration Procedure:
Step 1: Once the migration version goes live on 2025.02.10 (UTC+8), a unique code will be generated in the Overview section of the old client platform (https://client.lightcdn.com). This code serves as the authentication number to link your old account with the new platform.

Step 2: Visit the new platform (https://console.lightcdn.com) and paste the unique code into the corresponding input field in the Overview section. Please note that the new platform requires re registration, and you can also use your original email to register.

Step 3: Please note that when you click “Start Migration,” it signifies the cessation of using the old platform. Your balance will be transferred to the new platform, and your resources will be recreated there. After resource recreation, you will need to update your DNS records with your third-party provider, as you normally would when activating CDN services.

User Compensation:
We will reset the free traffic quota for customers. By using the new client platform, you will receive a fresh allocation of 500GB of core network traffic for 30 days.

Handling of Old Accounts After the Migration Period:
If you require assistance with your old account after the migration period, please contact support@lightcdn.com, and we will help you accordingly.

Retrieving Old Data:
Should you need to obtain data from the old platform, please contact support@lightcdn.com, and we will retrieve and send the data to you.

Reminder of the Migration Schedule
2025.02.10 (UTC+8)Migration Commences:
The new platform (https://console.lightcdn.com) will be open, allowing you to begin migrating your resources at your convenience. We will assist you with one-click creation of your existing resources and the transfer of your balance. Migrating a single resource takes only a few seconds and requires merely a DNS update, minimizing any impact on your business.
The old client platform (https://client.lightcdn.com) will disable recharge and resource creation. Existing resources will continue to operate and maintain acceleration until you complete the migration to the new platform.
2025.02.26 (UTC+8)Migration Concludes:
The old platform will be decommissioned, meaning that resources on the old platform will cease to be accelerated. If you have not migrated by this date, your services will be interrupted.

Please ensure you note these two key time points. We will notify you separately of any schedule adjustments or additional migration details.

Change can be challenging, but LightCDN remains steadfast in our commitment to providing high-quality products and services. We will continue to provide regular updates and notifications about the new platform. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at support@lightcdn.com.

Sincerely,
The LightCDN Team
